2,187 factories registered in Sarlahi in FY 2021/22

SARLAHI: A total of 2,187 new factories have been registered at the Cottage and Small Industries Office, Sarlahi district, in the fiscal year 2021/22. Of them, 1,541 factories registered are agriculture-based. Chief of the Office, Jitendra Kishor Gupta, said of the factories registered, 415 are service oriented while 231 others belong to the production sector. Gupta stated that the number of new factories registered in the last fiscal year exceeded the number of factories registered in the previous fiscal year by 244. Meanwhile, the Office collected Rs 29.1 million in revenue in the last fiscal year for the registration fees from those factories. More than 5,400 women and 36,000 men are employed in the cottage and small industries in Sarlahi, according to the office. READ ALSO:
