KATHMANDU: All 55 Nepali students working in an agriculture farm along the Israel-Gaza border have been relocated to secured places.

According to the Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv, 72 Nepalis who were awaiting rescue from the nearby northern border of Israel have also been shifted to safer areas.

The Embassy also shared that four Nepalis who sustained injuries in Saturday's attack were gaining gradual improvements in their health and the search for other Nepali nationals missing is taking place with the assistance of all available local and diplomatic mechanisms, including police and hospital.

As informed, over 350 Nepalis eager to return home have so far registered their names at the Nepali Embassy. A process has already been initiated to safely repatriate them home.

Earlier on  Tuesday, Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Eli Cohen and conveyed Nepal's solidarity with Israel in this difficult time.

Minister Saud also requested the Israeli Government's facilitation in the early repatriation of mortal remains of deceased Nepalis, safety, security and relocation of Nepali nationals in safer areas, and repatriation of those who wish to return home, according to MoFA.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister of Israel thanked the Government of Nepal for the expression of solidarity and assured the Israel Government's full support in early repatriation of the mortal remains and repatriation of Nepalis wishing to return home.

Previously on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Saud told the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives that 324 Nepali citizens who want to be rescued and return to Nepal have provided details through the online registration system of the Nepali Embassy in Israel. Among those who gave details, 288 people wished to return home while 36 others wanted to be relocated.

Considering the present situation, the MoFA has urged Nepalis who are about to go to Israel for study and other purposes to not do so at the moment.

The MoFA will hold a regular press briefing at 4:30 pm starting today, Foreign Minister Saud shared.
