72nd National Democracy Day celebrated

KATHMANDU: The 72nd National Democracy Day was celebrated by organising a variety of programmes across the country, on Saturday. A special program was held at Tundikhel. The day was observed in commemoration of 7th Falgun, 2007 BS when democracy was established in Nepal after the end of the 104-year-old autocratic Rana rule. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="19953,19952"] Since 2008 BS, it has become a tradition for the main ceremony committee to organise a special ceremony at the Army Pavillion every year. The government has appealed to all for a special three-day celebration on February 18, 19 and 20. Illumination will also be held in the evening for three days. By RSS READ ALSO:
