97th Senate meet of Kathmandu University held under chairmanship of PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu University officials today made presentations on the university's academic programmes and forthcoming agendas at the 97th Senate Meeting held in Baluwatar, Kathmandu. The senate meeting of the university was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at his official residence. At the meeting, PM Dahal said he has directed his entire attention to increasing production and creating employment. "We should all put in efforts for increasing the production and creating the environment for employment," PM Dahal said while addressing the 97th Senate Meeting of Kathmandu University held at the former's official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu, today. [gallery columns="2" link="file" size="full" ids="37643,37645"] PM Dahal lauded the role of Kathmandu University in creating employment opportunities within the country and said, "It is the responsibility of the university to extend cooperation with the government for building an environment for utilising the human resources it has produced within the country itself." Stating that we have become more engrossed in politics, he remarked that politicisation in every sector has relegated the economic, educational and production-related agenda to the back burner. Prime Minister Dahal opined that development and construction works get prioritised in those places where there is discipline, and the country will make a big leap in terms of development if there is no unnecessary political bickering. "We can see and know from the experiences of several countries that employment is created and the skilled human resources are prepared through production enhancement and the country can also become economically rich," Prime Minister Dahal remarked.
