A A- A+
KATHMANDU: TVS, a leading motorcycle manufacturer, has established a strong presence in the Nepali market with its powerful and technologically advanced bikes. The company has been actively promoting the biking culture among the young generation through various initiatives, including the Apache Owners Group (AOG). AOG, formed by Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of TVS for Nepal, aims to support social work through biking and connect youths with each other. One of AOG's recent achievements was organising the first international marquee ride, which saw 10 Nepali riders embarking on a journey to TVS factory in Mysore, India. The 22-day-long journey started on February 11 and covered a distance of 7,000 km, passing through various cities in India and returning to Kathmandu via Raxaul border. The participants of the international marquee ride rode TVS Apache series 160, 200, and 310 motorcycles. The "Ride to Origin'' campaign organised by the AOG saw participation from professional riders who passionately promoted biking culture through their vlogs and social media, creating a positive impact on the biking community in Nepal and beyond. The marquee ride was a challenging yet memorable experience for me, I got an opportunity to explore different geographies, art cultures, and cuisines of Nepal and India. We also had the opportunity to participate in India's famous Moto Soul event in Goa, where bike stunts and other biking events were held. Visiting the TVS factory in Mysore was a special highlight for me, as I had an opportunity to see firsthand the manufacturing process and technology behind the bikes we ride. Speaking on the return of the much-awaited TVS MotoSoul India, Vimal Sumbly, Head Business - Premium, TVS Motor Company said, “We are thrilled to announce the 2023 TVS MotoSoul – The Ultimate Biking Festival, the flagship initiative by TVS Motor Company for our millions of premium motorcycle owners and biking enthusiasts across the globe. TVS MotoSoul is a platform for the like-minded motorcycle community to come together, celebrate the undying spirit of motorcycling, interact with legends from the racing & biking fraternity and take home the supreme message of riding brotherhood. I’m excited to have participation from TVS Nepal – JMPL team with Apache owners riding all the way from Kathmandu to Goa for this event, Sumbly shared. This will be the first AOG International ride where riders will cover over 7,000km in 20 days. It will be a true culmination of motorcycling culture and rider grit on our most successful premium bike TVS Apache. While on the ride in India, the AOG team also promoted various tourist destinations of Nepal and encouraged Indian riders to visit Nepal. AOG team riders praised Apache series motorcycles for comfortable seating that helped reduce physical strain during rides. The bikes' impressive braking, pick-up power, and handling make them ideal for highway cruising. Additionally, their good mileage provided an economical option to the riders as well. Overall, the Apache series machines were lauded for their comfort, performance, and efficiency. The riders met fellow bikers from India and Bangladesh during their journey. They also participated in the Moto Soul Biking event in Goa, which is considered one of India's largest biking festivals. Through such rides and initiatives, TVS has provided Nepali riders with opportunities to travel and also helped them stay updated with the latest developments in the biking sector. The "Ride to Origin" campaign, with its slogan "Right to Origin'', has been a unique and exciting experience for the riders, as they embarked on a 7,000km journey to the TVS manufacturing factory in Mysore, India, to witness the bike manufacturing process firsthand. The riders expressed their heartfelt gratitude to TVS Nepal for making this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity possible, allowing them to deepen their appreciation for TVS bikes and the biking culture.
