Ashok Leyland launched Captain range of trucks

IME Motors, distributors of Ashok Leyland commercial vehicles, launched the most awaited Captain range of trucks. Hem Raj Dhakal, Managing Director IME Group, Sandeep Agrawal IME Motors, Suman Pokharel Director IME Motors, Ishwar K Karki Director IME Motors, Kapil Siwakoti, CEO IME Motors, Suvendu Moitra Vice President Global Trucks Ashok Leyland, Tanmay Mitra, Regional Manager East SAARC were present at the unveiling event. The Captain’s USP is higher fuel efficiency, increased vehicle uptime and faster turnaround reducing vehicle operating costs. The vehicle has an electric and electronic architecture with self diagnostic capability. Good ergonomics and driver comfort are among the Captain’s highlights which include easy-to-reach controls, a mechanically suspended driver seat with multi-level adjustments, tiltable and telescopic steering column, air conditioning and a music system. Captain series addresses three key areas – driver comfort, reliability and performance and will compete with the HCVs from competing brands. Launched in 2014 in India, the Captain series are available in 16-49 tonnes in various types such as tippers, tractors and haulage vehicles.
