The Asia de Tour Team has successfully completed their cross country tour with the motto ‘Peace for Environment’. The tour was initially targeted to be accomplished within 101 days. Team members, Dipak Prasad Poudyal, Shyam Prasad Subedi, Ramesh Dhital, Ram Krishna Nepal and Suraj Adhikari started their journey on June 5 and finished on September 4, 2017 within 92 days. The schedule started with a ceremony where President Bidhya Devi Bhandari handed the riders with the national flag. The tour kicked off from Kathmandu to Kakadvitta, Fulbari (India), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Sutarkandi (India), Mohare (India), Tamu (Myanmar), Mesot (Thailand), Sadawa (Thailand), Jorbaru (Malaysia), Singapore and back. The total distance covered was approximately 11,599 Km. The vehicles used were private Bajaj Dominar 400 and 10 million rupees was spent on the entire tour.
