KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN (Unified Socialist) senior leader and chief of the party's International Department Jhala Nath Khanal has said China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is crucial for deepening mutual cooperation among peoples of different countries and ensuring economic development.
Addressing the international conference organised by the Belt and Road Foundation in Beijing, China on Thursday, Khanal added that BRI is equally important for an equitable, prosperous and progressive world system.
International Department's secretary of CPN (Unified Socialist), Shankar Khatiwada, quoted former prime minister Khanal as saying that BRI has provided an immense opportunity to promote mutual cooperation, establish trade relations and share values from across the world.
Khanal viewed that China has revitalised the dream of a common future, humanity and inclusive development through BRI.
