Chinese company to build Upper Trishuli III B

Nepal Electricity Authority has given the responsibility of building 37MW capacity Upper Trishuli IIIB to a Chinese company. An agreement has been signed between subsidiary of NEA Trishuli Hydropower Company and Chinese company, Sichuan Aanhehydrolic and Hydroelectric Engineering. The Chinese company has been given the responsibility of building civil, electro-mechanical, hydro mechanical and all types of structures and equipment export and installation. The cost of project being built on EPC model is estimated at 191 billion. This project will be built as a cascade project of Upper Trishuli IIIA which will generate 134 gigawatts in summer and 157 gigawatts in the rainy season
