Chitwan District Administration Office starts issuing e-passport

CHITWAN: The District Administration Office (DAO), Chitwan has started issuing e-passport from December 22 Wednesday.

The office has made arrangements for service seekers to receive passports by filling in online forms.

Public Information Officer of the DAO, Khemraj Poudel, has shared that an online application is mandatory for obtaining a passport. A form can be filled in from anywhere on mobileph0ne or computer device, he added.

After filling in all details online, one has to reach the office for a photograph, Poudel informed.

An arrangement will be made to fill in an online form at the help desk of DAO, he added.

Chief District Officer Ashman Tamang said that 14 online forms were filled in and submitted for e-passports on Wednesday alone.

The e-passport is available within two weeks after submission of the online form, CDO Tamang informed.
