
KATHMANDU: Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM) has provided 'lathe setter training' for technical workers of various industries.
A total of 15 technicians attended the 24-day training provided by CIM in collaboration with ENSSURE Project.
CIM President Rakesh Surana on Monday, June 5, gave certificates to the trainees. On the occasion, CIM President Surana said the chamber conducted the training to enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals working in various industrial establishments. He said the training will help the manpower do the work in a sophisticated manner. He also urged the employees to take each training as a lifelong learning process and improve their performance.
Jayaprakash Vishwas, a trainer, said that during the 24-day training, trainees were taught on topics such as turning, facing, cutting, and structural determination. He opined that the training will help the workers upgrade their skills with more knowledge.
The trainees were taught theoretical and practical methods of lathe setter operation and its components, equipment operation methods, repairing of technical defects, and safety measures to be adopted while operating the machine.
