Cimex Inc announces new pricing for BYD EVs in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Cimex Inc, the authorised distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co in Nepal, has announced new prices for BYD ATTO 3 electric vehicles, effective from June 12, 2023. This update comes in response to recent changes in taxation policies, as announced during the Budget for the fiscal year 2023/24. The revised pricing reflects the company's commitment to providing competitive offerings to Nepali customers while complying with the new regulations. One of the key highlights of this announcement is the introduction of a smaller battery capacity version of the BYD ATTO 3, equipped with a 49.92 kWh battery pack. This addition aims to cater to customers' diverse needs and preferences, providing an option that balances affordability with sustainable mobility, according to Cimex Inc. Previously, the BYD ATTO 3 was available in two versions — 100kW motor and 150kW motor  — and were priced at Rs 6.49 million and Rs 8.99 million respectively. Following the adjustment in pricing, customers can now explore the following options:

• BYD ATTO 3 Advanced Trim - 100 kW (49.92 kWh Battery Pack) at Rs  5.599 million
• BYD ATTO 3 Superior Trim - 100 kW (60.48 kWh Battery Pack) at Rs 6.588 million
• BYD ATTO 3 - 150 kW (60.48 kWh Battery Pack) at Rs 8.199 million
