CLE announces AIM Scholarship Programme targeting disadvantaged students

KATHMANDU: The Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (CLE) announced 200 full scholarships under the title, Audacious Intention Maker's (AIM) Scholarship Programme for disadvantaged students across all 77 districts of Nepal to study Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Hospitality Management (BHM) at the Academy of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management At a press conference organised on Tuesday, CLE Founder Ashesh Maharjan announced that AIM will provide full scholarships to 200 deserving students to pursue higher education in Hospitality Management; one male and one female from each of the 77 Districts in Nepal, one male and one female each from the seven SAARC nations, 12 students with disabilities, 10 LGBTQIA students and 10 refugees residing in Nepal.  [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="35421,35424"] To qualify for the scholarship, students must have passed grades 8 through 12 in public schools. The scholarship application process will commence on May 2, 2023. The first intake to commence their education is in October 2023. Over the four years, students will be mentored on leadership values in collaboration with Anil Keshary Shah, Chairperson of Lead Nepal Inc (LNI). The scholarship covers tuition fees and other expenses related to the course besides accommodation costs for 18 months.  [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="35427,35422"] The sustainability of this programme is based on a strategic model that encompasses food, culture and tourism in which CLE will partner and collaborate with various organisations and individuals to build funds via hospitality services.  Maharjan envisaged providing a world-class education to the scholars besides building on their leadership skills in a way that they not only build their careers but also become able to give back to their communities and the nation.
