KATHMANDU: The diverse panellists engaged the audience with their experiences and perspectives on the second day of ‘Women's Leadership Summit 23’ organised by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) Women Leadership Forum, on Sunday.
A special session by Vajrayana teacher Mingyur Rinpoche set the event in motion. Panel discussions were held touching on the subjects such as climate change, digital, change agents, media and entertainment, regional cooperation, and policies.

Suman Shakya, Founder and CEO of Tangent Waves moderated the panel discussion titled 'Climate Change: Creating More Women Climate Leaders'. The panellists included Sanjeevani Yonjan, Director of Wildlife Conservation Nepal; Energy entrepreneur Sita Adhikari; Environmental Scientist Bhushan Tuladhar; and Prakriti Mainali, Founder of Shakti Milan Samaj.

Similarly, the digital segments moderated by Amun Thapa, CEO of Sasto Deal held discussions about the tools to bring women to the forefront of digital transformation. Panellists in this section were Sonika Manadhar, Founder of Aloi Technology; Karvika Thapa, CEO of Kimbu Tech; and Rumee Singh, Co-founder of Rumsan Group.

The discussion titled ‘Change Agents' moderated by Amuda Mishra, Founder of Ujjyalo Foundation held a discussion with panellists about women's leadership skills that drive change in society. The panellists were Anupama Anand, Programme Officer at BFGF; Neena Joshi, Senior Director for Asia Programmes - Cooperative Development Heifer International; Pukar Malla, Founder of Daayitwa; Maggie Doyne, Founder of Blink Now Foundation; and Shailee Chaudhary, Campaigner of Dalit Lives Matter.

Journalist Akriti Ghimire. Dil Bhusan Pathak, Chief Editor of Kantipur; Anushka Shrestha, Miss Nepal 2019 and Founder of Makkuse Nepal; actor Rekha Thapa and Priya Sigdel, Founder of Hattihatti held a discussion on the topic ‘Media & Entertainment: Addressing persistent inequalities in media’.
Francesco Tornieri, ADB, moderated the panel discussion titled ‘Export Market Barriers And Opportunities For Women Entrepreneurs South Asia’. The panellists were Aasia Saail Khan, Director of Supply Chain Schazoo Zaka, Pakistan; Rezani Aziz, CEO of Adfactors PR, Sri Lanka; Damche Dem, CEO of BAWE, Bhutan; Sukirti Patnaik, Convenor of INWEC, India; Shamama Arbab, Co-Founder of Euro Industries, Pakistan; Abida Ali, Board Director of BWCCI, Bangladesh; Vidushi Rana, member of Women Leadership Forum under CNI; and Nahza Ibrahim, Former Secretary General of Women In Tech, Maldives.
Likewise, Gender expert, Bandana Rana moderated the panel discussion on ‘Policy: Unlocking Possibilities: Ways to influence policy to accelerate women’s leadership’. The panellists were Lawyer Mamta Siwakoti, Tourism Expert Nandani Lahe, Educator Reshu Aryal, Educator and Sabnam Shiwakoti, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
