‘Colours of Teej’ at Aloft Kathmandu Thamel

KATHMANDU: Aloft Kathmandu Thamel organised a 'dar" for various self-expressing and savvy young influential women to mark the Teej celebration. The great food and beverages helped to create a fun and vivacious mood. Teej is an age-old and auspicious festival celebrated by women who participate in fasting, singing, dancing and offering prayers to Lord Shiva. The festival also marks the union of Shiva and Parvati. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="28150,28149"] The festival is a three-day-long celebration which combines gatherings‚ singing‚ dancing, eating Dar and rigid fasting. Flaunting their sassy presence, everyone participating in the programme was dressed in vibrant shades of red and green colours, and their hands were adorned with beautiful and intricate mehndi designs. This made the celebration even more meaningful. The evening came to a close with dancing to the tunes of lively and joyful traditional folk songs. On the occasion of Haritalika Teej, Aloft Kathmandu Thamel extended best wishes to all the women. READ ALSO:
