Construction of restaurant in Narayanhiti Palace Museum premises stalled

KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has directed the Narayanhiti Palace Museum and Republic Monument Management and Operation Development Committee to stop the construction of a restaurant on the premises of the museum. Minister Ale summoned Bhesnarayan Dahal, Executive Director of Narayanhiti Palace Museum, to the Ministry on Tuesday and gave verbal instructions to stop the construction work of the restaurant being constructed there immediately. According to Dahal, the Narayanhiti Palace Committee has written a letter to B Management Pvt Ltd following the directive of Minister Ale. The committee had signed an agreement with Batas Company to run a restaurant business on 10-ropani land on the premises of the museum. There was widespread criticism after the media reported that a restaurant was being built at the archaeological site. By RSS READ ALSO:
