
KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) advisor and spouse of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Sita Dahal, passed away this morning. She was 69.
Dahal, who had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for a long time died during treatment at Norvic International Hospital in Thapathali, Kathmandu. She was admitted to the hospital for treatment. She breathed her last at 8:33 am today while undergoing treatment at the hospital, the prime minister's personal physician Prof Dr Yuba Raj Sharma informed.
According to Prime Minister Dahal's secretariat, Dahal's mortal remains will be kept at the party central office in Parisdanda, Koteshwor from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm today and will be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat at 2:00 pm.
