The Nepal Distilleries awarded ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Distilleries has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certification. The company produces the famous Khukri brand rum. The company has been awarded the ISO certification by DNV (UKAS) — the accreditation body to assess and accredit organisations that provide services including certification, testing, inspection and calibration. ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognised QMS developed and published by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) which ensures that the products and services meet the needs of customers, through an effective quality management system Nepal Distilleries has been focusing on standards and customer satisfaction since its inception. The company has been continuously working to improve products and keep the internal management system up with time and changes. On acquiring ISO 900:22015 certification, Managing Director of Nepal Distilleries, Subhas Lamichhane, said it is the company's big achievement. He gave credit to the company's entire team and their combined effort for getting the certification. Lamichhane committed to taking the standard of the products to next level and modernising the internal working system. Nepal Distilleries, established in 1959, produces varieties of rum — Khukri XXX Rum, Khukri Spiced Rum, Khukri White Rum, Coronation Khukri Rum — under Khukri brand.
