Ace Institute of Management begins 48-hour hackathon

KATHMANDU: Ace Institute of Management, one of the leading management colleges in Nepal, has begun Ace Ignite — a 48-hour hackathon with a rationale to unleash the potential of aspiring innovators. More than 100 participants from inside and outside Kathmandu valley are taking part in the event being held on the premises of Ace Institute of Management in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. The event is supported by national and international sponsors such as Github, Devfolio, Taskade, Microsoft Student Learn Ambassador, Polygon, Worldlink, Makuse among other organisations. Prajwal Shrestha, the event lead shared, “Ace Ignite is a beginning of a legacy seeking to create an ecosystem for aspiring young minds of Nepal for collaborative innovation that makes the world a better place. This event provides a platform where individuals can discover a way to tackle real-world issues and discover Nepal as a land of opportunity. Through Ace Ignite, we also hope to build strong career paths for young minds in the country itself and aid in reducing the brain drain”. Ace Ignite is a 48-hour hackathon which focuses on bringing innovation of participating teams to life with individuals from diverse academic backgrounds such as IT, Management, Engineering, and Designing. It envisions an ecosystem which enables the youth to work in a collaborative space to transform their ideas into the real world. To promote young minds, individuals will be rewarded with exciting gift hampers and packages from national and international partners with cash prizes. The event will conclude on November 13.
