Bhattarai elected ECAN president

KATHMANDU: Sesharaj Bhattarai has been elected the new President of Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN). In the election held on Saturday, Bhattarai mustered 238 votes against his nearest rival Bishnuhari Pandey, who received 146 votes. A total of 419 voters took part in the election which was held through the electronic voting system. Landrew Poudel (Lakshman), Bhuvan Bahadur Chhetri, Geeta Siwakoti (Gitanjali) have been elected vice-chairs and Deepak Bhusal as the general secretary, Bhavanath Humagain and Ratna Bahadur Bhattarai as secretary and Ashish Karki as treasurer of the new working committee. The ECAN is an active association of professionals keeping abreast of knowledge on every detail of abroad study and subsequent student counselling.
