RANJHA: Lumbini Province government has started investment dialogue in its districts in order to make the investment summit fruitful.
Lumbini Province Minister for Finance and Cooperatives Krishna Dhoj Khadka said dialogue and discussion have been initiated to collect suggestions of industrialists and entrepreneurs of the districts as a preparation for the investment summit.
Speaking at an investment dialogue programme organised at Nepalgunj today, Minister Khadka mentioned that the investment summit is going to be organised with the objective of making the province self-dependent creating entrepreneurship and employment after identifying problems of industries that are in operation in the province.
The provincial government with the collaboration of federal and local governments has been carrying out activities to create an environment where Nepali citizens can get employment in the country prioritising tourism, agriculture and industry in order to make the Lumbini Province self-dependent.
Similarly, Vice-Chairperson of Lumbini Province Planning Commission, Bamdev Chhetri, opined that preparation has been made to organise an investment summit after holding investment dialogue with industrialists and entrepreneurs of all districts of the province in different phases.
Secretary at the Ministry, Netra Prasad Subedi, shared that preparation is underway to organise Lumbini Investment Summit in January 2023, bringing in investment in four to five projects.
President of Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdul Wahid Mansuri, former Executive Chief of Investment Board, Rajesh Panta, Banke's Chief District Officer Surya Bahadur Khatri, industrialists and entrepreneurs of different districts talked about the investment summit.
