IME, Mutooth FinCorp sign agreement for Indo-Nepal remittance

An agreement has been signed between Muthoot FinCorp and IME with the aim of promoting Indo-Nepal remittance. Muthoot FinCorp CEO Shaji Varghese and IME India CEO Goutam Naithani signed the agreement amid a programme organised in India on Wednesday. According to IME, Thomas John Muthoot, President and Managing Director of Muthoot FinCorp; Suman Pokharel, Senior Vice President of IME Group; Khilendra Paudel, Chief Executive Officer of IME, and other senior officials were present at the programme. "This is an extended step to provide services to the Nepali community working and living in India through our 3,600 branches at their doorstep," said Muthoot FinCorp CEO Varghese. With the agreement, Nepali expatriates can now send money to Nepal instantly from any of Muthoot Fincorp 's more than 3,600 branches.[/caption] Addressing the event, IME Group Senior Vice President Pokharel said that cooperation with Muthoot FinCorp has expanded IME's reach in India. Likewise, IME CEO Paudel said the collaboration with Muthoot FinCorp will be important for the expansion of Indo-Nepal remittance services. "Joining hands with Muthoot Fincorp Limited will add another milestone to the Indo-Nepal remittance service where customers will be able to benefit from the wide network of both companies. This partnership will provide a reliable and secure platform for families in Nepal to repatriate their hard-earned money," said Goutam Naithani of IME. Nepali expatriates can send money to Nepal instantly from any of Muthoot Fincorp 's more than 3,600 branches. IME estimates that 15% of the total remittances entering Nepal will come from India. IME has been active in the remittance business since 2001. IME expects that 5 million Nepali immigrants will benefit from this facility. READ ALSO:
