International Relations Conference to begin on August 26

A A- A+
KATHMANDU: The Policy Research Institute is set to organise an international seminar on Nepal's international relations from August 26. The three-day event titled 'International Relations: Nepal and World Order' will bring together 100 youth experts from Nepal and India, who have high academic degrees in international relations and are taking up major roles and responsibilities in several governments and non-government organisations (NGOs). Policy Research Institute Director Deepak Kumar Adhikari said experts participating in the event will come with working papers. The event aims to archive innovative thoughts and ideas about international relations from the youth which will be considered to be helpful in guiding the conduct of Nepal's international relations. The Institute hopes ideas coming from such events will guide us to determine our future international policies. Different discussion sessions on the environment, culture, world politics, peace, security, stability, trade and technology will be held during the event. Programme coordinator Binay Kumar Mishra expressed his belief that the programme would direct the course of the domestic policies in the new world affairs. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inaugurate the event while the concluding session will take place in the presence of former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on August 28.
