Prez Bhandari, PM Deuba offer greetings on Shri Krishna Janmashtami

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has wished that Shri Krishna Janmashtami would inspire all Nepalis to build a civilised and cultured society by enhancing mutual harmony, compassion and friendship. In a message on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the President said the knowledge of the Gita inspires the whole world to engage in good deeds by renouncing anger, greed and obsession to maintain harmony in society. She has also expressed her best wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity and good health to all Nepali sisters and brothers living in the country and abroad on the occasion birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. Likewise, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended best wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity and good health to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion. May this festival inspire all to build a good-cultured society while increasing harmony, fraternity and friendship among entire Nepali population, said the Prime Minister in a message of greetings today. On this day, Hindu devotees celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna who is considered the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
