Govt committed to solving drinking water problems in Dharan: Minister Sharma

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said the federal government is committed to solving the drinking water problems in Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, Sunsari district. In a meeting held with the Mayor of Dharan Sub-metropolis, Harka Sampang, on August 16, Finance Minister Sharma expressed his commitment to allocating budget required for the drinking water project after technical preparations. Minister Sharma applauded the role of the team led by Mayor Sampang for mobilising the human resources to solve the drinking water problems. On the occasion, Mayor Sampang said the Dharan Metropolis has been facing problems with drinking water for which the assistance of the federal government is necessary to solve the problem.
