42 returnees from India diagnosed with Covid 19 in Sudurpaschim

BAITADI: As many as 84 persons were diagnosed with coronavirus infection in Sudurpaschim Province in a single day. While performing tests on 1,107 people in the last 24 hours, 84 were found to have contracted coronavirus, the Sudurpaschim Province Health Directorate shared. Kanchanpur district has topped the list with the highest number of new cases (42) while Kailali saw 33, Achham four, Darchula two and Bajhang, Doti and Baitadi one each. Of the new cases, 42 are returnees from India, it was shared. Of the returnees detected with COVID 19, 23 had returned through Gaddachauki, 16 through Gauriphanta, two through Pulghat and one through Jhulaghat entry point, informed Covid 19 Focal person of the Directorate Hemraj Joshi. Earlier on Monday, the province had diagnosed 121 new cases of coronavirus infection. As the province shares border with India, health desks have been set up at all checkpoints to expedite Covid 19 tests. A total of 60,511 people of Sudurpaschim have been so far diagnosed with the coronavirus in the province. The contagion has claimed 634 lives in the province as of now. By RSS READ ALSO:
