KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has revealed that most of the people who succumbed to coronavirus infection of late are found to be unvaccinated. According to Assistant Spokesperson of the Ministry Samir Kumar Adhikari, 75% of those who died from Covid 19 were found not vaccinated against coronavirus. He urged those unvaccinated to get inoculation services as they are the most vulnerable to respiratory contagion. "We urge all those unvaccinated to get first, second and booster dose against Covid 19 from the nearby health facility as per the need," said Adhikari. Two people lost their lives to coronavirus infection on Tuesday itself. So far, 11974 infected have succumbed to Covid 19. Those unvaccinated are 10 times more vulnerable to severity and fatality than the vaccinated, the ministry sources claimed. Inoculation of booster dose provides 85% protection to the infected from the severity and possible death. As informed, 93.3% targeted population has received the first dose of vaccines against Covid 19 while 88.5% have been vaccinated with the second dose. The ministry has urged people to wear masks covering nose and mouth, maintain physical distance and resort to frequent hand washing with soap and water in order to get protected from infection. Currently, over 1,000 people are testing positive for coronavirus infection every day. By RSS READ ALSO:
