Grand Seiko timepieces showcased for first time in Nepal

A A- A+
KATHMANDU: Swiss Timepieces Nepal, authorised retailers for Grand Seiko, showcased timepieces from four of its well-known collections — Evolution 9, Heritage, Elegance and Sport — for the first time in Nepal. For over 60 years, Grand Seiko shaped the world of luxury watchmaking with timepieces that understood beauty, precision and the Japanese aesthetic sense. All of Grand Seiko’s timepieces are assembled by hand at only two studios in the Land of the Rising Sun, thus earning the title of a ‘true watchmaker’. Some of Grand Seiko’s groundbreaking innovations include the legendary Spring Drive — one of the most precise watch movements in the world and a distortion-free, mirror-like finish achieved by a polishing technique such as ‘Zarastuy’. At the exclusive event held at Radisson Hotel in Kathmandu on July 22, Ankur Jhunjhunwala, owner of Swiss Timepieces, said, “It took us two long years to bring the brand Grand Seiko to Nepal, and despite being a long wait, it was worth the time and effort.” [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="26709,26710"] The event saw the participation of luxury watch enthusiasts and connoisseurs who got the opportunity to experience the brilliance of Grand Seiko’s timepieces.
