Muktinath Bikas Bank, SCT cooperate to provide payment services through Smart QR

KATHMANDU: An agreement has been signed between SmartChoice Technologies Limited (SCT), a payment system operator licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank, and Muktinath Bikas Bank, "B" class bank, to provide payment services through Smart QR. Narayan Prakash Bhuju, Chief Executive Officer of SCT and Til Bahadur Gurung, Assistant Deputy Chief Executive Officer ADCEO (Chief Operating Officer/Chief Information Officer) of Muktinath Bikas Bank signed the agreement. Following this agreement, SCT and Muktinath Bikas Bank will cooperate in the field of Smart QR usage. The agreement between the bank and SCT aims at promoting electronic transactions by reducing the physical use of cash in the overall payment system as per the policy and guidelines of NRB.
