CIWEC HOSPITAL brings more than 35 years of experience in taking care of travelers and expatriates. It has an international reputation for its high quality of care, and Its extensive research program has helped define the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in travelers. Established in 1982 as CIWEC Clinic, it has evolved to a full service five story hospital. The quality of care and research at our hospital has led to two Medical Directors of the clinic becoming President of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM): Dr. Prativa Pandey, and Dr. David Shlim and Hospital. We opened the first travel medicine center and hospital at Pokhara in 2014 as CIWEC Hospital Pokhara.

We also provide dental, immunization, laboratory, radiology and psychiatry services. Our number one priority is to make sure that patients receive proper treatment and are able to get on with their travels or get back home safe and sound. We focus on the needs of the traveler (both foreign and Nepali): providing optimum clinical care, informing travelers of health risks in Nepal and abroad, and ways to mitigate the risks by providing immunization, travel advice.
