Thailand urged to cooperate in Nepal’s handicraft development

KATHMANDU: Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN) has urged Thailand to cooperate in the development of Nepal’s handicraft sector. FHAN President Prachanda Shakya made such a proposal at a meeting with Ambassador of Thailand to Nepal Vosita Vorasaph on Thursday. During the meeting, President Shakya sought the Thai envoy’s support for the participation of Nepali businesspersons in the ‘Gems and Jewelry Expo’ to be held in Thailand. The Gems and Jewelry Expo is held every year in Thailand. “The Federation believes that such fairs would help promote the study and inspection of crafts and technology of Nepali and Thai arts,” Shakya shared. In response, the Thai Ambassador expressed readiness for the cooperation in Nepal’s handicraft development adding that Thailand was a good market for Nepali handicrafts. By RSS READ ALSO:
