Asian Paints Nepal launches ‘Color Next 2022’, announces tour trends

KATHMANDU: Asian Paints Nepal successfully launched 'Color Next 2022' which saw participation from prominent architects and interior designers including the presence of Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA) and Interior Designers Association Nepal (IDEA Nepal). [gallery columns="1" size="full" link="file" ids="24510"] Color Next by Asian Paints is an annual phenomenon that studies, global, socio-cultural and environmental trends to arrive at design directions. Through interaction with industry experts, multiple collaborative workshops and secondary research, trends relevant to the design industry are discovered. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="24507"] Color Next 2022, organised at Hyatt Regency in Kathmandu, on June 3, initiated with a welcome address by Pragyan Kumar, CEO, Asian Paints Global and proceeded with a brief presentation from Sireesh Rao, Regional Head, Asian Paints Global and G Gopalakrishnan, Country Hea, Asian Paints Nepal that accentuated association of Asian Paints with architects and interior designers. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="24511,24509"] As the highlight of the event, Ashwini Deshpande, co-founder and director of Elephant Design, announced tour trends for the year — We/Us, Hope You're Well, Solo Commerce, Artify — and introduced 'Transcendent Pink' as Colour of the Year. Following that, Asian Paints Nepal also introduced 'Mood Board Contest' for architects and interior designers where they can showcase their interior spaces by interpretating and using one of the four announced trends. The top five winners of the contest will be awarded by Asian Paints Nepal. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="24506,24508"] With reference to 'Color Next 2022', Tejita Vaidya Amatya, Director at Conception Interior, shared, 'Color Next 2022 is a well-researched platform and colour forecasting, done through Colour Next 2022, are outcomes of in-depth research from the society. Implementing these trends in our design is an easy application —  we can take the material, texture, and colour from each trend and apply them to a certain theme that is suitable for a certain interior space.
