KATHMANDU: The Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) has expressed confidence that budget for the fiscal year 2022/23 would help boost the export sector.
Issuing a press release on Tuesday, the FCAN that was established with the slogan 'Export for Prosperity' welcomed the budget. "The budget has come to address the concerns of import and export enterprises that has remained the main pillar of Nepal's economy", the FCAN noted.
The federation has termed the upcoming year's budget positive as it has incorporated the Federation's recommendations into the fiscal policy.
Among the positive affairs the budget envisaged include construction of international exhibition centre, organising international fair, providing grants up to 8% on cement, processed water, steel, footwear and clinker and improving standards of Nepal-based laboratories to make export reliable, the statement read.
