Everest Bank customers can make QR payments in India

KATHMANDU: Everest Bank has signed an agreement with Gateway Payment Nepal to enable digital payment ecosystem. With this, the bank's customers can now scan and initiate QR payments in India for goods and services purchased at various outlets that accept PayTM, GooglePay, PhonePe. The digital payment ecosystem also enables Nepali migrants residing in India to send money directly to their Everest Bank accounts. It will also enable Indian tourists travelling to Nepal to make payments at any merchant in Nepal and vice versa. Everest Bank, a joint venture with Punjab National Bank, presently has millions of customer base, one of the highest in the industry. Presently, the bank is rendering professionalised and efficient banking services of international standard through its wide domestic network of 116 branches, 31 revenue collection counters, 150 ATMs and also through its widest global network.
