CHITWAN: Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat has urged industrialists and entrepreneurs to free themselves from negative perspectives. The country's economy is improving, he asserted.
Inaugurating the 57th annual general meeting (AGM) of Chitwan Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, the finance minister emphasised the need for doing business with positive thinking. He mentioned that with the positive signs of improvement in the economy, foreign investors have started showing interest in investing in Nepal.
Minister Mahat wondered how the country's economy could improve if industrialists and entrepreneurs harboured negative thoughts.
Though the problems of the economy have not been completely resolved, there are now some improvements compared to the past, he shared, admitting that the country's economy is under pressure, but not facing problems.
He further argued, "The country's economy faced pressure after the Nepal Rastra Bank implemented a strict monetary policy, reasoning that banks invested in the share market and real estate."
The monetary policy is being gradually relaxed to ease economic activities, Mahat shared.
