KATHMANDU: Vaidya Energy, the sole authorised distributor of Ather electric scooters in Nepal, has inaugurated the first service centre for electric scooters in Tinkune, Kathmandu.

The company has launched a state-of-the-art service centre with spare parts and servicing facilities, prioritising customer convenience.

Shuryansh Vaidya, CEO of Vaidya Energy — a subsidiary of Vaidya's Organisations of Industries and Trading Houses (VOITH) — stated that the service centre offers various amenities such as fast charging, a customer lounge, and a washing area.

Vaidya emphasised that the service centre has been established with a focus on after-sales service. "Providing after-sales service to customers is more crucial than selling scooters," Vaidya said, "We have initiated the service centre to ensure our customers face no issues regarding parts and services."

Vaidya highlighted that their business is not limited to selling scooters; they are also investing in the development of a charging network, spare parts, and service centres.

He mentioned that plans are underway to install fast chargers at 10 different locations in Kathmandu valley soon. He also shared that the task of installing chargers at all branches of the Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket and departmental store is nearing completion.

The company is in the final stages of preparing to open its second showroom, the 'Experience Centre', in Jhamsikhel. Meanwhile, plans are being made to extend the branch to major cities outside the valley.

Ather, which has gained popularity in the Indian markets, is also becoming a preferred choice for customers in Nepal.
