Govt’s priority is to collaborate with private sector including CNI: PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the government has put its collaboration with private sector including the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) in priority to resolve pressure and complexities being faced by the country's economy. During the meeting with newly elected office-bearers of CNI at the prime minister's official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu today, PM Dahal shared the government has been receiving policy-level and practical suggestions directly from CNI  for economic and industrial development with a priority. On the occasion, the delegation led by the newly elected President of CNI, Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, urged the government to build an environment to spend capital expenditure on time. President Agrawal requested for private sector's representation in the monitoring committee announced by the government for the successful implementation of the budget. Agrawal opined that a flexible monetary policy was necessary to achieve  6% economic growth target mentioned by the budget and to make the economy dynamic. The CNI President suggested the government present itself strictly to control smuggling in order to promote domestic products and increase the revenue of the government. He stressed that the agreement related to power export and digital payment signed in the course of PM Dahal's recent India visit should be implemented soon. The delegation included Vice Presidents Birendra Raj Pandey, Amit More, Bhim Ghimire; Director General Deepak Raj Joshi, among others. READ ALSO:
