NEPALGUNJ: A mountain flight has begun from Nepalgunj to Kailash Mansarovar at the initiative of tourism entrepreneurs' associations.

The flight was due to start last Saturday, but fog and poor visibility caused a two-day delay.

Keshav Neupane, a tourism entrepreneur, stated that the mountain flight would aid in reviving business and identifying tourist destinations for Indian visitors. He expressed his belief that at least one flight per season for Indian tourists would enhance tourism activities. He added that the view of Kailash Mansarovar is indeed captivating.

Om Mishra, another tourism entrepreneur, expressed joy over the successful operation of mountain flights on Monday. He claimed that the city of Nepalgunj is being developed as a tourist destination.

Shreeram Sigdel, Chairman of the Banke chapter of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travels Agents (NATTA), shared that the new initiative is also connected to the future financial growth of Nepalgunj. He emphasized the need for effective air connectivity between Nepalgunj and Pokhara to boost tourism.

Indian tourists who travelled to Kailash Mansarovar on the mountain flight from Nepalgunj were pleased.

Punam Bhusal, a hotelier in Nepalgunj, said, "The mountain flight from Nepalgunj to Kailash Mansarovar definitely supports the tourism industry."

Kailash Mansarovar, located in Tibet, is a sacred site for Hindus and Buddhists. It is predominantly visited by Hindus from Nepal and India.
