KATHMANDU: The secondary market of Nepal shed 21.67 points or 1.02% to close at 2097.93 today.
After three successive bullish trading sessions, NEPSE Index reduced to break below the 2100 level. Sensitive Index also fell to 378.63, decline of 3.08 points. Total turnover reached 5.295 billion keeping up the momentum from yesterday. A total of 14,777,120 shares of 313 securities exchanged in 95,645 transactions.
Today’s session witnessed bearish trading in 215 companies. Only 29 listed securities observed bullish trends. Samling Power Company Limited (9.87%) was the top gainer with Mandakini Hydropower Limited (9.67%) & People's Power Limited (7.67%) following up closely. Menchhiyam Hydropower Limited (-5.87%), Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (-5.78%) & Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (-5.15%) were the top 3 losers. Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) again finished first in the turnovers race with 638.782 million.
