KATHMANDU: Himalayan Future Forum, an incubation centre of Nepal Economic Forum, is set to host its first flagship event, HFF2024, in Kathmandu on February 16 and 17.
The two-day event aims to foster dialogue on the Himalayas, bringing together stakeholders from various countries and sectors. Discussions will focus on climate, community, and connectivity issues and solutions in the Himalayas.
Keynote speakers include Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan; Conrad Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya, India; Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand; Cecile Fruman, Director of Regional Integration, South Asia, at the World Bank Group; Hari Sharma, Executive Director of Purak Asia; and Kul Chandra Gautam, Advisory Board Member of the Nepal Economic Forum, among others.
Other speakers include Abhishek Rungta, Founder & CEO of Indus Net Technologies; Ajay Joshi of Penguin Random House India; Amigo Khadka, Head of Strategies and Growth at Nepal Tea Collectives; and Anushka Shrestha, Co-Founder and CEO of Makkuse among others.
The event, taking place at Regal Hall, Hotel Yak & Yeti, will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, conversations, and presentations. An event studio will record conversations for an HFF Talk Series, and a comprehensive report on the proceedings will be published post-event.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase. Individual tickets are priced at Rs 30,000. Tickets including a three-night hotel stay are priced at $400 for South Asian nationals and $500 for non-South Asian nationals. A table for six is available for Rs 150,000.
