Bangkok Hospital, Lifestyle Care collaborate to promote medical tourism in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Lifestyle Care, a subsidiary of Lifestyle Holidays, has partnered with Bangkok Hospital to promote medical cooperation, education, and medical tourism in Nepal.

A press meet, co-hosted by Bangkok Hospital and Lifestyle Care in Kathmandu on Saturday, featured briefings from doctors about the treatments offered at Bangkok Hospital and recent advancements in cardiology and surgical oncology.

Presentations on the history, causes, and concerns related to Arrhythmia and Breast Cancer were given, with a focus on sharing information and expertise among medical professionals from Nepal and Thailand.

The programme, held at the Radisson Hotel, was attended by doctors and representatives from HAMS Hospital, Alka Hospital, Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, and other hospitals.

Marketing professionals from Bangkok Hospital showcased the amenities and services provided by the hospital. They emphasized the benefits of receiving treatment from one of the world's largest medical groups, which includes over 58 hospitals, around 1,100 registered doctors, over 2,500 nurses and other technicians, and the capability to transport patients as needed. They also highlighted the hospital's ability to receive remote and online appointments through their dedicated app “My B+”, making their treatments more accessible.

Sumedh Shakya, Managing Director of Lifestyle Holidays, outlined the role of Lifestyle Care as a conduit between various health institutions, providing information, assistance, and technology services. Lifestyle Care supports those seeking medical treatment abroad by informing them about their options, assisting with necessary travel processes like visa acquisition, and aiding in the import of medicines to Nepal. This effectively integrates medical plans with tourism.
