TRISHULI, NUWAKOT: Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat has emphasized the importance of education for economic change.
Speaking at the 35th anniversary of Birendra Secondary School in Dupcheshwar Rural Municipality-2, Nuwakot district, Minister Mahat emphasized that education is the primary driver for job creation and income.
He noted that while infrastructure is necessary for development, the impact of education is even more significant as it is a powerful tool for economic change. Education, he said, is the main route to increasing income sources, saving, and brightening the future.
He pointed out that roads, drinking water, irrigation, and health services are all indicators of development that can be made more efficient through education. The government, he said, has prioritised improving the quality of education to generate employment and enhance skills.
Minister Mahat stressed the need to embrace technology and focus on technical education in line with changing times. He added that the state plans to provide skill training to those who have not had the opportunity for education, with the aim of creating jobs.
