KATHMANDU: Two students from The British College (TBC), Tarun Agarwal and Sachet Roy, succeeded at the National Entrepreneurship Conclave (NEC) 2.0, securing positions in the Business Plan Competition and Mega Pitch Festival.
Competing against 150 teams, Agarwal and Roy became one of the 15 finalists at the NEC 2.0, which took place at LEAD College of Management in Palakkad, Kerala from 26 to 28 January 2024. They presented their idea and secured a position in the top five in the technology sector startup, claiming first place in ideation phase plans. This achievement earned them certificates and awards.
Reflecting on this accomplishment, Agarwal said, “We were glad to collaborate as Business and Computing students to present our concept, which is still in the ideation phase. We couldn't have achieved this without the support of Subodh Rupakheti, the Lead of TBC Business Incubation Centre.”
During the competition, the students interacted with industry leaders and entrepreneurs, gaining networking opportunities, engaging in discussions, and acquiring insights into the Indian business landscape. They also visited several institutions, including IIT Palakkad's Technology iHub Foundation and PSG Steps Incubation Centre.
Expressing his satisfaction, Rupakheti, the Lead of TBC Incubation Centre, said, "We are glad to be part of NEC 2.0, demonstrating our commitment to entrepreneurship. Our collaboration with LEAD College of Management is a significant step for us, opening up opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the growth of an entrepreneurship ecosystem."
