NEPSE gains 5.91 points to close at 2076.50
KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) climbed 0.28% or 5.91 points to conclude trade at 2076.50 today. Sensitive Index, a measure of class A securities, also hiked by 0.61% to reach 372.27. Total turnover amounted to 4.252 billion, slight decline from yesterday’s trading session. 12,363,027 shares of 302 listed companies exchanged hands in 74,675 transactions.
Today’s trading session witnessed 131 companies on an uptrend while 112 observed downward trends. Nepal Finance Ltd. (10%), Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited (10%) & Panchthar Power Compant Limited (10%) were the noteworthy companies in the bullish run. People's Power Limited (-5.81%) was leading the charge on the bearish run with NIC Asia Balanced Fund (-5.76%) & Dordi Khola Jal Bidyut Company Limited (-5.20%) following closely.
Across sub-indices, Finance sector listed securities (+6.56%) led the bullish charge followed by Development Bank (+2.38%). On the flip side, Life Insurance (-0.27%) was the major bearish sector along with Investment (-0.21%).
