KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, Aloi, and Ryan Energy have announced a partnership to mark International Women's Day. This collaboration is a significant step towards empowering women entrepreneurs and promoting sustainable development through access to finance and clean energy solutions.
In this partnership, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, a 'B' Class financial institution, will provide financing to women micro-entrepreneurs in Banepa, Dhulikhel, nearby municipalities, and Kathmandu Valley. The financing will enable the purchase of electric three-wheelers and two-wheelers.
Ryan Energy, a dealer and manufacturer of electric vehicles (EVs), will supply the EVs. These vehicles meet safety and environmental standards and come with training, maintenance, and warranty support.
Aloi will use its software platform to manage the loan monitoring and repayment process, ensuring an efficient experience for all parties.
This collaboration combines financial expertise, technology, and a vision for gender equality to develop a green economy in Nepal. By offering tailored financing options and facilitating access to training and licensing for EVs, the companies aim to remove barriers for women in the transportation sector. This effort aims to empower women economically while promoting the use of eco-friendly transportation, contributing to community development.
In honour of International Women's Day, this partnership demonstrates the companies’ commitment to advancing gender equality and creating opportunities for women's economic empowerment. The companies share a mission to create a future where women succeed as entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers in a greener, more inclusive world.
