KATHMANDU: United Traders Syndicate (UTS), authorised distributor of Toyota Motor Corporation in Nepal, has partnered with National Table Tennis champion Nabita Shrestha as part of Toyota's global initiative — Start Your Impossible. This collaboration aligns with UTS's commitment to promoting growth and community engagement.

National champion Shrestha has won the women's singles title consecutively from 2067 to 2080 (Nepali Calendar). She has also participated in international events like the South Asian Games, Asian Games, World Table Tennis Championship, and Asian Championship.

The partnership with Shrestha aligns with UTS's history of supporting athletes representing Nepal at international competitions. Suryansh Vaidya, Director of UTS, expressed confidence in Shrestha's potential success.

Nepal Olympics Committee (NOC) President Jeevan Ram Shrestha commended UTS for their role in supporting local athletes. He added that the partnership between Toyota and Shrestha motivates local sports talents and puts Nepal on the global map.

This partnership makes Shrestha the first Nepali player to represent a globally renowned brand. She will join other athletes worldwide representing Toyota as Global Team Toyota Athlete (GTTA) under the 'Start Your Impossible' global initiative.

Shrestha, from Kirtipur, balances family roles and pursues a sporting career. She also engages in social work, supporting earthquake victims and aiding a child with AIDS. Her initiative focuses on fostering connection among aspiring athletes by challenging gender inequality.

UTS recognises Shrestha's vision, which aims to challenge stereotypes about women's capabilities and build bridges for aspiring athletes. UTS will raise awareness on women empowerment and provide opportunities for all. UTS will plan activities that centre around this.
