Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, Hatti Hatti Nepal host fashion show to mark International Women's Day

KATHMANDU: Aloft Kathmandu Thamel and Hatti Hatti Nepal collaborated to host an 'Inspire Inclusion' Fashion Show and Award Ceremony in celebration of International Women's Day 2024.

The event showcased designs by Nepali women, emphasising their creativity in fashion. It also included an award ceremony recognising women's contributions to various fields. Honourees included Ganga Chhantyal (Unique Sewa Garment, Kathmandu), Shila Nepali (JF Ratnapattar Parsodhan Kendra, Jajarkot), Saradha Maya Tamang (Regan Bakery, Solukhumbhu-4), Devaka Shrestha (Champak Paun Udhyog, Bhaktapur), Anjani Chaudhary (Upahar Hastakala, Nepalgunj), and Rukshana Kapali (Women in Activism, Activist).

The event was attended by Indira Rana Magar, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, who delivered an inspiring speech.

He added, "International Women's Day is a reminder of the importance of celebrating women's achievements and promoting gender equality. Gopal P Singh, EAM-HR, said, "We have collaborated with the Hatti Hatti team for four years, and today, we celebrate the achievements of women worldwide."

Priya Sigdel, President of Hatti Hatti, echoed the sentiment, "Women's Day is more than just one day; it's a daily celebration and a call to action for gender equality. Let's believe in our dreams, break barriers, and inspire each other."

On March 9, 2024, a bazaar was held featuring Nepali products and the achievements of women entrepreneurs. Chief guest Pratima Pande, Honorary Consul General of Italy for Nepal, gave an inspiring speech about uplifting women and creating an inclusive environment for all.
