KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has a plan to establish an 'investment company'. This venture will invite entrepreneurs from across the country to participate. FNCCI President, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, shared this information at the annual general meeting (AGM) of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
In his address, Dhakal explained that the company, open to investments from citizens and businesspersons nationwide, will invest in various projects. The company's authorised capital will be set at Rs 10 billion. Dhakal emphasised that investment will be open to all, including businesspersons who are not members of FNCCI.
Dhakal expressed his commitment to improving the country's economy during the programme. He acknowledged the lack of progress due to the absence of a unified financial agenda among political parties. He informed that the FNCCI's upcoming AGM, scheduled for the last week of Chaitra, aims to forge consensus among all parties.
Dhakal highlighted the FNCCI's continuous efforts towards improvement, citing the economic discussion held in Asoj as a significant milestone.
In his concluding remarks, Dhakal acknowledged improvements in the financial sector and stressed the need for everyone's cooperation to maintain a viable market.
