KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Chandra Prasad Dhakal met with ambassadors of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Mongolia today.
In his meeting with UAE Ambassador Abdulla Al Shamsi and Ganbold Dambajav, the Mongolian Ambassador to India who also serves in Nepal, FNCCI President Dhakal sought their support in promoting investment in Nepal.
He also invited them to participate in the upcoming Nepal Investment Summit, scheduled for April 28-29 in Kathmandu.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties between Nepal and these two countries.
President Dhakal expressed his gratitude to the Emirati ambassador for his support in organising the Nepal Dubai Business Summit, which took place in Dubai in November with the backing of both countries' embassies. He also highlighted the significant investment potential that Nepal offers. The UAE ambassador expressed his interest and discussed the possibility of signing a bilateral investment agreement between the UAE and Nepal.
In his meeting with the Mongolian ambassador, Dhakal discussed mutual trade and investment opportunities. He outlined the potential for investment in Nepal's hydroelectricity and tourism sectors and reassured the ambassador of Nepal's external sector stability.
