RANJHA, BANKE: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari has stated that the current government has no excuse for failure.

Speaking at the 14th-anniversary celebration of the Dolphin Group factory in Kohalpur, Banke district, Minister Bhandari asserted that the new coalition government, comprised of progressive forces, is capable of alleviating frustrations within the industrial sector.

He explained that the government was formed through the cooperation of these progressive forces and is committed to transforming existing economic challenges into opportunities.

"We are undergoing a trial by fire, and if we fail to transform people's frustrations into hope, we should resign from the government," Minister Bhandari declared.

Furthermore, the Industry Minister pledged to enhance the efficiency and quality of public service delivery and create an environment conducive to investment.

He stressed that curbing cross-border crimes is a government priority and efforts are being made to maintain market equilibrium by minimising price increases and bank interest rates.

On the occasion, Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Tanka Dhami said that industries were being impacted by the open border system.

In a separate event in Nepalgunj, Minister Bhandari vowed to uphold consumers' rights and interests through legal measures.

He stated that the government will concentrate on controlling unlawful price increases and establish a fair market system. He also committed to establishing a Consumers' Court.

Participants at the event called for effective government action against the cross-border smuggling of goods.
